Meet Heather

Heather is an entrepreneur and a pioneer in the business world, and the host of the new Mentors and Moguls Podcast. With over 28 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the fields of asset management, tech, and finance, she is no stranger to achieving goals and forging a path to success. She currently plays a key role within  Capstone Holdings Inc., whose portfolio includes projects totaling over $400MM and partners with Eastern Michigan University in the STEM program.

Holding philanthropic endeavors as a core value throughout her career, she formalized efforts as President of the Power2Change Foundation with a mission to ignite the power of underserved middle school youth to make a positive change in their lives, their communities, and the world.

To aid in the advancement of women in certain sectors of the economy, Heather co-founded GameAbove Capital. With a $50 million fund, GameAbove Capital was created with the goal of promoting and aiding women and minority-owned sustainability businesses.

“GameAbove Capital provides a much-needed resource for women and minorities who clearly demonstrate leadership, ingenuity, and business acumen, as well as innovation in the sustainability space.”  – Heather R. Stone

Heather Stone
A WIFE, MOTHER AND BUSINESSWOMAN

With many years of experience in the business world achieving her own level of success, she felt compelled to fill the void that she felt when seeking female role models and mentorship throughout her career. As the mother of a daughter especially, Heather wants to help create a future where she and other young girls have resources to learn about successful women in action.

“As a champion for women both in the workplace and in the game of life, GameAbove Capital furthers my mission to promote, support and encourage women to rise to their potential.”  – Heather R. Stone

Many women who have achieved meaningful and significant careers have done so quietly. She believes that it’s time for women to be vocal about the wonderful things they’ve accomplished.

The focus of the Mentors and Moguls Podcast is to take a deeper dive into the stories of struggle and triumph of successful business leaders, athletes, and creatives. While her primary focus is on women, and because we don’t live in a silo, it is essential to bring men into the conversation and learn equally from their experience and success.

Mentors and Moguls Podcast is more than just a show. It’s a movement. Her mission is to shine a light on female-oriented organizations as she continues to financially support, promote, and grow programs in the areas of STEM, mentorship, and innovation.
