At age 29, Danny and a friend were working construction when they lowered a metal ladder into an electric line and were hit with about 8,000-10,000 volts. His book, Back to Life, is about a character named Jake’s journey of figuring out how to come back to life– not just physically, but emotionally. Danny was raised in faith and is a believer in souls, so he does not regret his experience. He does wish his friend didn’t pass, but he does consider the growth he experienced after the accident a gift.

He attributes that stillness to being able to hear something deep inside himself that set him on the path he is on now.
